Youth-Make-Peace-Happen Campaign

Between February 2018 – March 2019,  CEYAD executed with funding from UNESCO, the Youth-Make-Peace-Happen Campaign using youth to promote peaceful elections in Nigeria, and remotely in Sierra Leone. In Sierra Leone and Nigeria alone, the initiative reached over 200 youth-led organizations directly and contributed to about 60% reduction of violence across the communities where it reached. Mapped and Trained 75 youth-led organizations in 2 States; Organized 15 local intergenerational dialogue programs reaching over 500 young people; and Inducted 45 of 75 youth-led organizations in the UNESCO Youth Network for Peace.
